So Many Books…

Hey guys!

It’s been a while since I last wrote a bookish post, so today I thought I would write a list of a few of the books that I want to read- these are ones which have been on my TBR for far too long, and also ones which I have only discovered recently. So, without further ado, let’s delve into the land of all things bookish!

1: The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater

I have been wanting to read this book for far too long. What makes it worse is that I don’t even own a copy! I’ve heard so many great things about this series and I’m worried that if I don’t start reading them soon, I never will! The problem with studying English Literature as a degree, is that there isn’t loads of time to read “for fun”, so I’m thinking it’s going to be a while before I actually get to do that… but let’s have hope!

2: Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

I’ve only recently come across these books (and by recently, I mean last week) and I was instantly drawn to them. Not only do the covers look awesome (totally not judging here) but the story looks really cool, too. There’s nothing like a good old heist story with six outcasts, eh?

3: The Rosie Effect by Graeme Simsion

I read The Rosie Project a little while ago now, and I absolutely loved it. I actually bought The Rosie Effect accidentally, thinking it was the first book in the duology, so it’s been sitting on my bookshelf for about a year and a half and I haven’t read it yet. I’m a terrible person. But then, I have like an entire shelf dedicated to my TBR, so…

4: Queen of Shadows, and Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas

I was doing well in reading the Throne of Glass series until last summer, when I had to start reading for university. I feel like I really need to get going with the last part of this series, because I freaking love the books that I’ve read so far, and a friend of mine owns all of the books so I’m going to have to borrow them off her again, but I think she’s already gone back to university… But also the next (and I think last book?) in the series is coming out this year, so I really need to get my reading game on point…

5: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The Original Screenplay by J.K Rowling

Considering I haven’t actually seen the film yet (I’m sorry, I’m sorry, don’t hate me, I’ve just been super busy!!!) I wonder whether I should wait until I have actually gone to watch it, or if I should just buy the Fantastic Beasts screenplay, and spoil the film for myself… or I could buy it and just look at how pretty it is…

So those are just five of the books that I want to try and get around to reading! Hopefully I’ll be able to do that this year, along with all the other books I need to read for my course! I know five isn’t many, but these five are ones which I’ve wanted to read for a while so I want to try and get them out of the way!
