Yesterday evening i went to see the Hobbit (at last) with my family. It. Was. Totally. AMAZING!! It was so good, and dramatic, and awesome, and amazing…. I still get excited just thinking about it.
Now, i haven’t actually seen all of the Lord of the Rings, but i know basically what happens, and i haven’t read the books either, because i seriously don’t have the time at the moment, but i will get around to it at some point. Anyway, back to the Hobbit review.
I’ve pretty much said what i think of it and it’s one of those where it’s too good to describe, which would make this a really bad review, but i’ll try my best. So, if you don’t know anything about the Hobbit, It’s basically about Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit who lives quite a relaxed lifestyle until Gandalf the Wizard comes to his gate and tells him to come on a journey with him. Bilbo says no, but later on 13 dwarfs come to his door, and he is pulled in to going on this spectacular journey. The film is very, very good, and i know i’ve already said that but that’s how good it is, so you’ve got to believe me on this one.
I don’t know if anyone who has seen it noticed this, but there was this one bit where there was this… dramatic “stare-off” between two of the characters. I don’t think that’s really relevant, but there we go. And did anyone else find Gollum kinda scary? I mean, it wasn’t too bad but he had… mood swings, i guess because sometimes he just went bonkers and really angry but that made it really awesome and not “just another movie”. It’s not just another movie, i think it’s probably the best movie i’ve seen all year and if it doesn’t get loads of awards then… i don’t know. It deserves all the awards it should get because it’s awesomeness on a cake with a cherry on the top. Now if that isn’t good enough, then i don’t know what is.
So go and see the Hobbit. What are you still doing here? Go and book your tickets at a cinema near you!
