Diamond Jubilee Festivity

Hello, people of the internet.

As you should know, our good old Queen Elizabeth 2nd celebrated her Diamond Jubilee this weekend, and me and my family went to London (we stayed with friends who live in Woking) on Monday, to watch the concert organised by Gary Barlow… however, we weren’t actually at the concert, we watched it at Hyde Park, where they had big screens.

It was so much fun being there, although it got quite cold. The music was really good, and the atmosphere was amazing! I think the highlight of it all was when Madness played on the ro0f of Buckingham Palace.

The next day, we went back into London to watch the Red Arrows, and we also tried to see the Queen make her way through the streets to the Palace. We went to Whitehall because we knew she would be there… apparently, so did everyone else. We were in the middle, i think, and we were close enough to see Golden hats of the guards bobbing up and down as the Queen went past.

We then went to Trafalgar Square, which was just up the road and waited for about 10 minutes until the Planes went over. First they had World War 2 planes, and they were followed by the Red Arrows, which spat out Red, white and Blue smoke as they passed us, down the Mall and over the Palace.

We decided to leave before everyone else, and go to Pizza Express… before everyone else. Luckily, we got a table and, as always, the food was amazing.
