Review on… TimeRiders

Hello, people of the inter web.

Liam O’Connor should have died at sea in 1912.
Maddy Carter should have died on a plane in 2010.
Sal Vikram should have died in a fire in 2026.

One of my favourite series of books are the TimeRiders books by Alex Scarrow. They’re about 3 teenagers; Maddy Carter, Sal Vikram and Liam O’Conner, who all should have died but were given a second chance in life to work for an agency no one knows about. Their job is to stop time travel changing the established course of events throughout history, and fix it if anything goes wrong.

TimeRiders is science fiction and aimed mainly for teenagers or young adults. I think they’re amazing because although the books are exciting, funny, and sad (at times), you actually learn a lot without really realizing.

There are currently 5 books in the series, and the sixth is due to be released in August 2012.

TimeRiders: Day of the Predator
TimeRiders: The Doomsday Code
TimeRiders: The Eternal War
TimeRiders: Gates of Rome

TimeRiders: City of Shadows

I highly reccomend these books for anyone who loves sci-fi. Well, i’d reccomend them to anyone, really. So if you haven’t read them yet then give it a go. I don’t think you’ll be dissapointed.

  1. Just stumbled across your blog and wanted to say thank you for spreading the word. Really glad you enjoyed the books so far, and, for your information, the series will be a 9 book series!

    Great blog btw.
